Sacred Heart Catholic School - IB PYP Candidate School is one of a handful of publicly funded schools in Ontario to run the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP). The PYP is an inclusive program. All students and classes in our school are part of the PYP. We are a Grade Kindergarten to 8 school. The PYP runs from Grades Kindergarten to Grade 6, and we follow the same framework for Grades 7 and 8.

Space in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme is limited, and at times there is a waitlist for specific grades. When there is a waitlist for a specific grade level, and a spot becomes available we will follow the stages outlined below for admission. Consideration is NOT prioritized on a first-come, first-served basis. Should capacity be reached, students in the Sacred Heart Guelph boundary are redirected to Holy Rosary Catholic School, which does not offer the IB PYP.
At this time Grade 5 for the 2023/2024 school year is FULL. Any new registrations for Grade 5 will be placed on a waitlist. If any spots in the classroom become available, we will follow the stages outlined below at the end of June 2023 to fill the place in Grade 5 for September 2023.
