About
Nestled in one of the first neighbourhoods in Guelph, next to Sacred Heart Church, Sacred Heart Catholic School is a Grade Kindergarten to 8 catholic school which combines a historic past with a vibrant present. In the June 2021, Sacred Heart Catholic School became an International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) World School and will continue a journey that embraces global mindedness and inquiry-based learning. Sacred Heart Catholic School is only one of a handful of publicly funded elementary schools in Ontario to offer the program as a fully authorized school, IB PYP World School. For more information about the IB Primary Years Programme, please go to the IB PYP tab or visit ibo.org
In addition, our caring staff and smaller school size provides a warm, family-like environment for students. If you are looking for a school with a heart and international standards, consider Sacred Heart Catholic School.
We offer before and after school care through an independent provider, GS Care. For more information about the before and after school program, please check the GS Care website.

Acknowledgement of Traditional Territory
From the Anishinaabe to the Attawandaron, the Haudenasaunee and the Metis, these treaty lands are steeped in rich indigenous history and modern traditions. As a community, we have the responsibility to honour and respect the four directions, land, waters, plants, animals and ancestors. Today, this area is home to many indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island. We would like to acknowledge the Mississauga's of the Credit First Nation of the Aanishinaabek Peoples and we would like to express our gratitude for sharing these lands for our mutual benefit. Our treaty land is Treaty 3 (Between the Lakes Purchase signed in 1792) https://www.ontario.ca/page/map-ontario-treaties-and-reserves#t7)
